SOCIAL DESIGNER IN RESIDENCE !

There are many university courses on the subject of social design out now and thus great young people with a good theoretical education. Now you can gain practical experience after your studies or between bachelor and master’s at MTS. We will be launching an exclusive teaching program for a small group from 2022. Become a social designer in residence!

What you get:
 

  • You will be trained in the procedures, methods and formats that we use at MTS. You will be part of our exclusive courses and lectures for residents only.

  • You will be part of our projects and get full insight into the work of a social designer on the job.

  • In personal coachings you will be given very individual assistance so that you can develop further.

  • You will receive a certificate and reference after successfully completing the residency


What you contribute:
 

  • 40 hours a week

  • A completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in disciplines that are close to social design. Exceptions are possible in special situations.

  • German language skills (B2)

  • (Perhaps) first experiences in social design projects

  • Curiosity, willingness to learn and perseverance

  • Quick comprehension, willingness to work, empathy, communication skills


Place and duration:
 

  • The program will take place in Berlin and will last one year.

  • Further advanced modules will be offered in the following year.
     

Costs:
 

  • The program is free of charge if you contribute to your annual project.

  • If you only want to attend the training courses, the program costs € 800 per month.


Application:
 

  • Convince us with your application containing your certificates, a résumé and work samples. Please sind it to residency@morethanshelters.com

  • Show us your motivation and personality in a selection interview. If you cannot come to Berlin, we will conduct the interview online.

  • Take part in our screening test. Don't worry, it's not an exam. We want to get to know you and your strengths better.
